Hey gang, I was searching My Comic Shop to see what the new releases would be, and I came across a collection of comic strips based on Woody Allen, Dread and Superficiality. I am very interested in this. Was Woody actually involved? How did this come about? Anybody know?

Artist Suart Hample was a Woodyfan dating back to Allen's nightclub days. They became friends and when Hample came up with the idea of a Woody comic strip, Allen was quite involved. Hample had weekly visits with him during which he'd receive advice and suggestions from Allen.
When I was a kid, my local newspaper carried the Inside Woody Allen comic, though at the time it wasn't exactly understandable to me (I was 13 when the strip ended in 1984).
