That truly is all, folks!

While at work the other day, someone checked this hat in. I was amazed that someone would actually make a hat like this. It was Bedazzling! When they picked up the hat, I asked how they made it and they said they bought it at an actual Warner Bros Studio Store! Look below for more pics.

Well, Blow Me Down!

Google has made my soul happy with their logo today. In honor of Elzie Segar's birthday, they've Popeye'd their logo! As a dyed in the wool Popeye fan, I am now a happy camper. Now go eat your spinach.

Great Scotts!!

Hey gang. I'm a bit late in posting this stuff. At this years Baltimore Comic I got to meet Scott Adsit, of 30 Rock and Moral Orel. He was super cool and a huge League of Extraordinary Gentlemen fan. Below is a picture of me chatting with Scott Neely, who is also super awesome. He doodled up a great Shaggy in my sketch book while we discussed the greatness of Scott Innes and Adam West (he also did the Captain Caveman sketch above).

What the What!?: A Woody Allen Comic Strip

Hey gang, I was searching My Comic Shop to see what the new releases would be, and I came across a collection of comic strips based on Woody Allen, Dread and Superficiality. I am very interested in this. Was Woody actually involved? How did this come about? Anybody know?

Those that ride the lightning!

Man, I've really neglected this blog! Anyway gang, I saw this clip on 1UP.com and couldn't resist sharing. I'm a huge fan of the Flash (the Wally West version mostly, thanks to Mark Waid). This game looks like it has so much potential! Throw in the ability to play as Jay Garrick or Bart Allen (in his Impulse suit) with Max Mercury making appearances for hints and tips, and you'd have a solid winner.

Who knew the Pres was an ear nibbler?

I saw this hanging at COSI in DC.  I can't keep from thinking how this looks like the cover to a bad romance novel.

The Fluff and the Furious

Caught a glimpse of this at one of those cheap-o luggage stores at the mall and couldn't resist. I guess the Hundred Acre Woods just got a whole lot cooler.

If I only paid attention more.

I saw this car at a red light and was only able to snap a quick pic. I believe it belongs to Gary's Goodies, but I'm not sure. Any ideas, please contact me.

Da noive......

I saw this at CVS today and it automatically caught my eye. I really like the style the Scarecrow is drawn in, and it's the first stylized drawing of MGM's Wizard of Oz merchandising I've seen (there may be others, but again the first I've ever seen).

My new favorite site!

While traveling the Internet I cam across Everything is Terrible! and instantly fell in like. It's a an awesome source for all the wackiness available. Plus the logo is killer diller!

I Drew'd It: Potato Man

Ok, I'm abandoning the Silver Slum slogan. I feel that it's not creative and entertaining enough (though I thought so at the time). So here's a quick sketch I drew while at work of a potato like person. I plan on adding some clothes to him at some point, but for now enjoy his potato-y nudeness!

Silver Slum Presents

Hey gang. I've been thinking about starting a segment dedicated drawings and story ideas that have been piling up in the ol' noodle. Warner Bros. had Termite Terrace, now I proudly present Silver Slum! The drawing below is one of the many Bigfoot related doodles I have. Bigfoot is a central character in my opus "The Adventures of Dad and Me". I quickly sketched this while waiting for something (can't quite remember) and was interrupted and never got back to it, and never intend to finish it. But I am really proud of the bumper on the van, so it works for me.

The flicks I look forward to most in 200-Fine.

I haven't posted in a bit, so I thought I'd take a moment to showcase some of the films I'm looking forward to in 2009. I'm not fancy or talented enough to put up the actual trailers or spell out why these films particularly appeal to me, so I'll let the linked trailers do the job. Enjoy!
